House Hunting

Yesterday Zoe had to cancel (I help her with evee and the twins 2-3 days a week) so I decided to take this nice list of houses we had been sent and scope them out. So there were originally 29 houses, 9 of them were immediately crossed off do to either A) short sale, or B) their close proximity to train tracks, power plants, freeways, etc. I left class at 1pm and didn't get home until 6! Crazy, I know. But it had to be done. So during my 5 hour tour of riverside I discovered the following:

1. That our budget is making this really hard.
2. That birds sometimes commit suicide, or maybe that there are mean birds
who shove other birds down between the slats of fences and leave them there
to bake in the heat and die, and it makes you cry.
3. That we don't want to live in anything with a 92509 area code.
Not pretty. (which gets rid of a lot of our options)
4. That this is kind of exciting!!!
(minus the whole 5 hour tour thing, and getting sunburned in the car)
5. That you can go to jail for tresspassing.
6. That my car has a really efficient air condidtioner.
7. That cold gas station milk is awesome.
8. And that people think people who buy milk from gas stations wearing
polka-doted skirts are cool. (no not really) (I made that up:)

So anyway this is what came from 5 hours of searching, and a list of 29 houses:

*Porchy Assets
* Joe Louis (aka. the brown bomber)
*Mariella
So here they are, in all their glory...and potential. My favorites are Porchy Assets and Mariella, for their obvious, old home-ness. Most don't have the yard size that we're looking for, but the square footage is pretty good. And really all we need are two chickens and an extra room for a kid. ***Running water would be nice too. Any maybe a heater. :P
