I've been organizing my crafty girl things lately, with the goal of making them more "move" friendly. It just felt like there were needles and ribbons and buttons and scrapbook stuff everywhere....so I organized them! While I was organizing things (into cute little, and not so little mason jars I might add) I came across some covered buttons and decided that our old green curtains needed a little pizzazzz. I looked through my fabric box and lo and behold found a ton of greenish fabric remnants that would totally do the trick. Realizing that I had enough to make some new pillows too, my mother-in-law was able to snag me some sweet pillow inserts from her family's upholstery business and voila soon-to-be new matching pillows too....just as soon as I get around to sewing them that is. :)

I'm not exactly sure what the pillows will look like yet. I think I'll just make them up as I go since I don't have a pattern. They're easy anyway. I do however want to make them removable so I'm thinking buttons, zippers, or those cute fold over type things. The green and cream print fabric on the right is what I'm most excited about and is actually from a $3 slip cover I found at ross one day. If it weren't for the seams I wouldn't really know what side was the right side of the fabric....it looks great on both sides. Can't wait to finish them!

buttons on curtains, what a cute idea! matching pillows sounds cute too. i personally like the "fold over type" the best, with buttons!
